One evening, after one of his London shows, Max is visited by a mysterious man from Santo Domingo who tells him that his father is alive and that his mother’s trial was rigged.
When Max goes to meet the man a second time he finds him dead, shot through the head, but discovers a piece of paper with a strange sequence of numbers written on it.
Max realises the numbers could be his only chance to unlock the mystery of his father’s disappearance. Desperate to find out what really happened to him, and to seek justice for his mother, he goes to Santo Domingo where the trail leads to the sinister fortress and former prison, the Isla de Sombra – Shadow Island.
What has been going on in the island’s grim cells? Max must try to find out, then use all his escapology skills to outwit his enemies and survive.
